Found you!!

Well, after BN got overrun by spambots and then went poof, I had given up. Tonight I was messing around on Google and found you guys!

Hopefully you remember me, if not, no biggie. Just getting back into Blender again after 2.5 scared me away. Learning the new GUI is painful, but I'm getting there. Have a "simple" project I'm working on, and hopefully there's enough traffic here to point me at some tuts and/or answer some questions.

Very good to see some familiar names!

Yay, good to see you on! Sure we remember you; it's been a while, we try not to forget BN related things and people.
About relearning Blender; I myself was quite against it, and used 2.49 for a long time. Once you make the move however, you won't regret it I believe. We'll definitely do our best to make it as easy as possible if you care to ask questions when you get stuck.

[edit] just saw your user picture. I still had a picture of that in my mind, but I couldn't describe it. proofevidence that I remember you.

[edit2] The Blender Newbies IRC channel is still around and in use. Sure, sometimes there are days when no one shows up, but I just run the client whenever I'm the computer so that I catch any traffic coming through there.
