BlenderNewbies IRC channel?

I remember there was one. Can anyone tell me what was its name or how to reach it, because I forgot the details?

##blendernewbies on the freenode network. Don't have high hopes of catching people on unless you're willing to idle there more or less all the time.

I usually remember to pop in the IRC around 2-3 times a week in the evenings, but usually no ones there.

Funny thing, there are three of us on the forum right now--that's like a party!

I can re-add the forum chat box. It was a persistent(?) chat that would keep the conversation there even if you logged out so folks can carry out conversation even if they aren't online at the same time. Problem was that it took a lot of screen space.

So why don't you put in on the bottom of the page, instead right there on its forhead?
