Windows 10 work with windows 7 Blender

Good evening,
Does anyone know if the Windows 10 free update works with windows 7 Blender?
I do not have a way to do the upgrade and find out the hard way, then put the computer back if it does not work.

I don't think anyone knows yet. Although, I never thought Blender came out for any specific version of windows, but rather just windows in general.

That is a good point. I never thought about it, but I still use 2.49 for creating trees on Win7.

I finally updated one of my computers to Win 10 and installed Blender 2.58 and VLC they both seem to be working okay, but I have not used them much.
I will use them more and post back if I find a problem. If you get the Windows 10 free upgrade, you cant play dvd movies on Windows Media Player anymore, that is why I installed VLC.

I've been using Blender with Windows 10 for a while now. The only issue I ran into was just recently where when I tried to load in background images (if you had the files displayed as icons while browsing for the image to open), Blender would crash. Luckily I just had to have my folder structure to appear as a list instead of icons and it works fine.

Thanks for letting us know. I have not loaded backgrounds in a few years, so I would not have found it. I have not had any trouble yet. I may go ahead and update my main computer soon. Thank goodness for people that make freeware since we loose some of our stuff that came with Windows 7.
