Hi everyone,

I just joined this forum in hope I will be able to get some answers to so many questions that arise daily. I started learning Blender couple of weeks ago, going through tutorials and I think I'm picking up things nice since I started creating some stuff, just as a part of training process. But I've tried to do something that didn't work so I'd like the opinion of this valuable community about next challenge:
How do I get to apply material(colour) or texture to just one face or number of faces I want, without it being applied to the whole object?

Grateful and excited to learn something new!

Good evening,
First, create the materials (colours) and their associated textures. When you do this, your selected object will use the first material you create. But, you will change that in the next step.
Then, select the object and (tab) into edit mode. Select the face you want to apply the material to and select the material from your list you want and click (assign).

Good luck.
