In order to focus and develop my programming ability, I will be taking a year-long sabbatical from Blender. Sad As a SNCO and active LDS member, I have a lot of duties that need to be taken care of preventing me from focusing on the various hobbies I wish to progress in; and since I've been doing 3D effectively non-stop since 1995 with moderate amateur-level gains, I think it's time to develop some of my other goals.

I'm not sure if it would be appropriate to add a programming sub-category, since not only is it not related to Blender, it's not graphics related at all. I'll likely be active in the python forums (if I can find a friendly one), and this site will continue to be my second stop every time I go on line (after first checking email, of course)--so I don't have any plans on "leaving" (unless I'm asked to leave No )

I put up a blog post on Wordpress that basically says the same thing but with pictures: http://studiogreenleaf.wordpress.com/2013/06/07/blender-sabattical/

I look forward to working on some new works in 2.7x next summer! Arrow (to the future!)

You'll be missed mate, so keep dropping in.

I'd say you are being harsh on yourself calling your work moderate or amateur! But all the best with your new focus. Get out there and program the hell out of .... everything Smile

I'm not the best at rousing speeches. Haha.
